Mike Monday!
30.09.10

Confirmed to play Lean left @ The Nest on the 5th of November is Mike Monday.

From countless underground club hits to his two genre busting albums, Mike Monday has consistently stood apart from the crowd. As rhapsody.com says:

“To call something unclassifiable is the oldest trick in the artistic playbook… But the U.K.’s Mike Monday has actually earned the tag.”

Since completing an Oxford University music degree in 1994 he’s become an integral player in the electronic music scene. The labels he’s released music on reads like a who’s who: Om, Get Physical, Buzzin Fly, Simple, Freerange, and he continues to perform across the world including a tour of Australia in October 2010. Collaborations with Andy Cato (Groove Armada), Will Saul, and his own huge discography have ensured his enduring popularity. And he shows no sign of slowing down with his latest project: 10 tracks 10 weeks. Through mikemonday.com has written and released a free track every Monday for 10 weeks from July 19th 2010. These tracks make up his third solo album.

With the buzz that his 10 tracks 10 weeks web site project has created, and the massive creative impetus it has given him he’s planning to repeat it next year with no less than three further 10 track albums in the pipeline for 2011. The Nest cant wait to have him!
