What’s On? Lemonade: 27/08/11
24.08.11

Lemonade takes on a tougher, more propulsive and percussive edge this week as we welcome the UK’s critically acclaimed disco infused house and techno don, Matt Walsh, to headline the party. With some key remix releases alongside Zhao and a bunch of European gigs this year, Matt has been generously sharing the love and we’re excited for him to grace the Nest decks this Saturday. We’ve got hold of an exclusive download of his recent stint at Space, Ibiza. It’s a miscellany of spaced out percussion, sexy vocals, melodic stabs and disco grooves – something for everyone with a penchant for house/techno subgenres. Check it out before rolling down on Saturday.

Man Like Me’s London Town Guide
01.08.11

Man Like Me are Johnny Langer and Peter Duffy. They met while at school in North London, and bonded through their mutual love of Tricky, weed and skateboarding. Dropping the last 2, the pair announced themselves with the Nu Rave banger Oh My Gosh, quit their jobs, and have been playing rent catch-up ever since. The “best damn live act in the UK” (Loud & Quiet) then embarked on a never ending World Tour. From L.A. to Estonia, Cape Town to Stoke, Man Like Me arrived pockets filled with underground classics London Town, Single Dad, Carny and Lovestruck.

More recently you may have caught Man Like Me honing their kitchen selling skills, collaborating with 80′s ledge Jona Lewie and IKEA for a primetime TV ad. Not only have the lovely North London chaps given us a free download of their ‘Lovestruck’ single, they’ve also given us some tips for where to eat, drink and boogie in their home capital.
