Recently signed to the ever-growing Supernature Agency camp, Pedramovich has lived an unconventional, yet fruitful life in his 25 years of musically inspired existence. Born in Yazd, a desert city of Iran, he moved to the UK’s steel city as a young boy and, almost by chance, made quite the name for himself on Sheffield’s underground electronic circuit by his teens. Dedicating all his spare time to production work and playing out at some of the city’s most prestigious dance music nights, Pedramovich began developing his sound to soon encompass the ambient depth that his house/techno productions do today.
Releasing the renowned ‘Burka’ record acted as a huge platform for Pedramovich, with the likes of Anja Schneider, Paul Woolford and Nic Fanciulli championing the production. Now actively switching up his sound, we had a brief chat with the globetrotting DJ ahead of his set at the Supernature takeover next Saturday. He also laid down an exclusive mix for us to showcase his selection style ahead of the party. Check it all out below, super hot off the press!

The Nest: Hey Pedramovich! Tell us a bit about yourself. Most people will know you for “Burka”, what sort of sounds are you working on in the studio currently?
Pedramovich: Yo! Currently working on a proper wonky kind of sound. A bit floppy, and left leaning on the musical spectrum. Stripped back house with a lot of space to trip out to!
TN: What’s it been like working with the Supernature camp? Can we expect any exciting in-house collaborations over the next few months?
P: Working with the Supernature family is always a pleasure, proper chilled. I haven’t had a release out with the guys for a while but I’m working on a few bits to hopefully send over and get a follow up EP sorted out. The roster is building nicely though within Supernature, some serious talent.
TN: If you could live anywhere in the world and play out, produce and party there every day, where would it be?
P: Tricky question, as I’d probably die after a week of raving. I’d like to think in Sheffield where I live, but on an exotic location kinda vibe probably Brazil or Argentina somewhere?!
TN: What recent releases over the past few months have made you think, “damn, I wish I produced that?”
P: Anything and everything by Skudge. Alex Jones and Shenoda, they are next level talent. Also Bearweasel make quite classy beats. So much quality produced electronic music out there that makes you envious….Oh and Will Saul and his Aus\Simple imprint too. Lots and lots of goodness.
TN: Where do your DJ sets lie in the “totally selfish – crowd pleasing banger” spectrum?
P: My DJ sets probably lie in the wonky spazzy spectrum. On a loose limb flinging about kind of vibe.
TN: What’s your favourite studio snack?
P: Haribo or Tesco’s own brand Teeth n Lips sweets …..3 for a £1 offer on at the moment.
TN: Are there any surprising artists who you know have been carrying Pedramovich productions in their DJ bags?
P: I was surprised and seriously humbled and honoured when I saw Anja Schneider say in an interview that my Burka track is always in her bag, aswell as Nic Fanciulli supporting from the start.
